Scott has devoted his career to guiding people through their unique family law matters. He is highly experienced in cases involving divorce, child custody, modifications, paternity suits and premarital agreements, both in court trials and alternative dispute resolution arenas. Scott is licensed to practice law in Texas, New York and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
He uses his tremendous legal insight and compassion for others to advocate for his clients, setting them up for a secure future. Beyond family law, Scott is dedicated to assisting immigrant children attain legal status in the United States through the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas. The non-profit organization advocates for justice and promotes international human rights.
Scott received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2009. In law school, he gained experience as a member of the Child Advocacy Clinic representing indigent children who were removed from their parents by child protective services. Also in law school, Scott was elected to the National Order of the Barristers, a distinction honoring excellence in oral advocacy in Moot Court competitions.
Prior to his legal pursuits, Scott spent several years in the accounting field working with large corporate clients. During this time, he also served as a volunteer in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
