Scott is licensed to practice law in Texas and New York, and he’s also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. Beyond family law, Scott assists immigrant children obtain legal status in the United States through the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas, a non-profit that advocates for justice and promotes international human rights.
Before Scott earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2009, he spent several years in the accounting field working with large corporate clients and serving in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. During law school, Scott was a member of the Child Advocacy Clinic representing indigent children who had been removed from their parents by child protective services. He was also elected to the National Order of the Barristers for excellence in oral advocacy during Moot Court competitions.
When Scott isn’t working with clients, appearing in court or using his skills to help couples through collaborative divorce, he’s spending time with family and friends or working with immigrant children.
