Meet Our Attorneys
At Neal, Ashmore, Evans & Stuntebeck, we are a team of seven attorneys with more than 100 years' experience in family law among us. We are passionately dedicated to the practice of family law and offer creative solutions for couples seeking divorce or parents wanting to resolve a child custody, visitation, adoption or other family law matter. We are focused on solutions that put clients and their families first.
Our entire professional lives have centered on helping people move through the particularly emotional area of family law and on assisting clients to emerge on a solid footing. Credentials that illustrate our competence in and commitment to family law include:
- William F. Neal, our principal lawyer, has more than 35 years' experience and is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law. He is also AV rated under the Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Rating System* and has been selected as a Super Lawyer for 2009 and 2010.
- L. James Ashmore has tried more than 100 divorce, custody and contested probate cases and has been appointed by the Courts in Denton and Dallas counties to present the interests of children, both as an attorney ad litem and as an amicus attorney.
- Jake Collier served over seven years as District Judge of the 158th Judicial District Court in Denton County, Texas and was voted MOST QUALIFIED DISTRICT JUDGE by the Denton County Bar Association in all seven Judicial Qualifications Polls during his tenure.
- Barbara B. Evans has an AV-rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is a certified mediator and collaborative lawyer.
